3D-Cell Culture and Tissue Engineering
Our research focus on the development of polymeric scaffolds, which fullfill the biological requirements of different tissues. The synthesis of porous matrices based on natural as well as synthetic polymers enable to establish adjustable systems with controllable physical and biochemical properties. We analyze the matrices according the influence of microenvironment on cell behaviour, especially in the case of oncology. Mechanotransduction to guide cellular processes during tumor progression and affecting immune suppression as well as drug responsiveness are of main interest.
