Dr. Mehran Mehrabanian is a postdoctoral researcher in Advanced Carbon Materials and Devices group, leading by Dr. Swati Sharma. He is working on design and development of carbon electronics on flexible substrates (funded by HEiKA centre FunTECH-3D). He received a PhD degree in Nanosciences from Italian Institute of Technology (IIT-Smart Materials) in collaboration with University of Genova, awarded in 2016. He focused on laser-induced in situ synthesis and characterization of metal mono/bimetallic nanoparticles on bio-polymer films. He then continued working as a junior postdoc researcher at University of Siena. He studied on chemical synthesis and physicochemical characterization of thermosensitive microgels containing functional magnetic NPs for drug delivery applications. Later, Mehran joined Prof. Mula’s group in University of Cagliari as a postdoc fellow on ENAPSI Project working on fabrication and development of porous silicon/conductive polymer hybrid structures by Electrochemical Nanolithography technique (ENL).
