Daniela Sánchez studied mechanical engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and received her Bachelor´s degree (B.Sc.) in February 2012. As a master student, also at the KIT, she specialized in Mechatronics and Microsystem Technology and earned her Master´s degree (M.Sc.) in October 2014. In January 2015 she started working as a Ph.D. student in the research field of microfluidic systems and their application in biology.
