Shyamsundar Adhikari studied mechanical engineering at the NITK, Surathkal, India, and received his Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech.) in 2011. At the end of 2011, he started his Masters (M.Sc.) in Microsystem engineering studies at IMTEK, University of Freiburg, and graduated in 2014 with thesis on fabrication and characterization of high aspect ratio microresonators for NMR spectroscopy. Since August 2015 he works as a Ph.D. Student at the Institute of Microstructure Technology IMT, KIT in the group of Prof. Dr. Jan. Korvink. His aim is to develop an optimized microdetector for magic angle coil spinning (MACS) NMR spectroscopy and explore the opportunity of industrial scale production of these microdetectors.
