Dr. Mehran Mehrabanian is a postdoctoral researcher studying on structural characterization and biochemical analysis of ''Advanced 3D Lab-on-a-Chip Architectures for Integrated Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (LoC-SERS, DFG Project)'' leading by Prof. U. Lemmer and Dr. M. Guttmann. He works simultaneously on design and development of flexible carbon microstructures for electrochemical sensor applications (funded by HEiKA centre FunTECH-3D). He received a PhD in Nanosciences from Italian Institute of Technology (IIT-Smart Materials) in collaboration with University of Genova, Italy, awarded in 2016. His PhD thesis focused on laser-induced in situ synthesis and characterization of mono/bi-metallic NPs on bio-polymer films. He continued his research career as postdoc in several Italian research institutes studying on fabrication and development of porous silicon/conductive polymer hybrid structures by Electrochemical Nanolithography technique (ENAPSi Project), and physicochemical characterization of thermosensitive microgels containing functional magnetic NPs for drug delivery applications.
