Based on the support from a Humboldt Research Fellowship of Experienced Researcher, my current research mainly focuses on topology optimization-based inverse design of micro-/nano-structures in the areas of microfluidics and nano-optics, with synthetically considering the performance, manufacturability and integrability. Destination of the inversely designed structures is on achieving a CD-like microfluidic chip integrated with cell-sorting and cell-imaging functions. The developed device will be significant for point-of-care and high-throughput automated CD-lab-on-chip systems in the area of cell-analysis.
