== Short Description ==&lt;br /&gt;
The solar simulator provides illumination approximating natural sunlight. It is a controllable indoor test facility to determine the power conversion efficiency and material stability under standardized conditions mimicking the international solar irradiation standard AM1.5G. It is a commercial solar simulator certified to highest accuracy class named AAA (WXS-90S-L2 by WACOM, Saitama, Japan). The illumination is homogeneous up to areas of 4”, enabling to perform tests on single solar cells as well as thin-film solar modules up to these dimensions. The tool is most in our lab for the testing of solar cells, solar harvesting devices and luminescent materials.  &lt;br /&gt;

# After switching of the lamps you need to keep the cooling fan running for at least 20 min! Otherwise you will damage the lamps.&lt;br /&gt;
# Lamps can only be exchanged by tool responsibles! Do not touch the optics or inner parts of the solar simulator!&lt;br /&gt;
# Be aware that the lamps operate at high voltages! &lt;br /&gt;
# Always wear personal protection equipment (1) safety goggles (2) clothing w. long sleves (3) gloves&lt;br /&gt;

Malte Langenhorst studied physics at the KIT and received his master&#039;s degree in 2016. In his thesis he developed a simulation model for the optical and electrical performance of thin-film CIGS solar cells.&lt;br /&gt;

Main topic of his PhD thesis is the development of a large-scale optical structures to improve light incoupling for photovoltaic solar modules.&lt;br /&gt;

The illumination is homogeneous up to areas of 4”, enabling to perform tests on single solar cells as well as thin-film solar modules up to these dimensions. The tool is most in our lab for the testing of solar cells, solar harvesting devices and luminescent materials.  &lt;br /&gt;

Malte Langenhorst studied physics at the KIT and received his master&#039;s degree in 2016. In his thesis he developed a simulation model for the optical and electrical performance of thin-film CIGS solar cells.&lt;br /&gt;

Main topic of his PhD thesis is the development of a large-scale optical structures to improve light incoupling for photovoltaic solar modules.&lt;br /&gt;

Malte Langenhorst studied physics at the KIT and received his master&#039;s degree in 2016. In his thesis he developed a simulation model for the optical and electrical performance of thin-film CIGS solar cells.&lt;br /&gt;

After a short employment as a software developer at Ferchau Engineering he decided to start a Ph.D. thesis at the IMT. Main topic is the development of a large-scale fabrication process of a surface layer that optically hides the front contacts of various types of solar cells.&lt;br /&gt;

Malte Langenhorst studied physics at the KIT and received his master&#039;s degree in 2016. In his thesis he developed a simulation model for the optical and electrical performance of thin-film CIGS solar cells.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After a short employment as a software developer at Ferchau Engineering he decided to start a Ph.D. thesis at the IMT. Main topic is the development of a large-scale fabrication process of a surface layer that optically hides the front contacts of various types of solar cells.&lt;br /&gt;

Malte Langenhorst studied physics at the KIT and received his master&#039;s degree in 2016. In his thesis he developed a simulation model for the optical and electrical performance of thin-film CIGS solar cells.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After a short employment as a software developer at Ferchau Engineering he decided to start a Ph.D. thesis at the IMT. Main topic is the development of a large-scale fabrication process of a surface layer that optically hides the front contacts of various types of solar cells.&lt;br /&gt;

Malte Langenhorst studied physics at the KIT and received his master&#039;s degree in 2016. In his thesis he developed a simulation model for the optical and electrical performance of thin-film CIGS solar cells.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After a short employment as a software developer at Ferchau Engineering he decided to start a Ph.D. thesis at the IMT. Main topic is the development of a large-scale fabrication process of a surface layer that optically hides the front contacts of various types of solar cells.&lt;br /&gt;

Malte Langenhorst studied physics at the KIT and received his master&#039;s degree in 2016. In his thesis he developed a simulation model for the optical and electrical performance of thin-film CIGS solar cells.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After a short employment as a software developer at Ferchau Engineering he decided to start a Ph.D. thesis at the IMT. Main topic is the development of a large-scale fabrication process of a surface layer that optically hides the front contacts of various types of solar cells.&lt;br /&gt;

After he went to Singapore for an internship by Robert Bosch (SEA) Pte Ltd in the R&amp;amp;D, he decided to start a Ph.D. thesis at the IMT. Main topic is the application of surfache-anchored metal-organic frameworks for third generation photovoltaics. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Besides his work he spends time on doing non-work related stuff.&lt;br /&gt;

Tobias Schröter studied mechanical engineering at the TU Ilmenau and received his master’s degree in 2010. In his thesis he developed a Light Sheet Fluorescence Microscope to investigate the three dimensional structure of organs like the cochlea or the brain. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After he was working as a developer at Carl Zeiss Microscopy in Jena for three years, he decided to start a Ph.D. thesis at the IMT. Now he aims to bring the grating based X-ray Phase-Contrast Imaging to clinical applications like mammography, or lung disease diagnostic.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Besides his work he spends time on mountain biking and other outdoor activities.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
