This is a laser lab containing lasers of and below class 3B. Laser safety training is necessary for work in the lab.

Two primary setups are located on the optical table.

*A photoluminescence lifetime quantum yield measurement setup. This uses a laser diode driven in CW mode, or an LED source.
*A lifetime measurement setup (for microsecond to millisecond lifetimes) based on multichannel scaling. This uses laser or LED sources driven in the quasi-CW mode of the Thorlabs driver. The pulses are longer than 1 µs and therefore fall into the category 'I' for laser safety considerations.

In the remaining space on the table, there are two enclosures for the development of temporary user-needed setups.

This is a laser lab containing lasers of and below class 3B. Laser safety training is necessary for work in the lab.

Two primary setups are located on the optical table.

  • A photoluminescence lifetime quantum yield measurement setup. This uses a laser diode driven in CW mode, or an LED source.
  • A lifetime measurement setup (for microsecond to millisecond lifetimes) based on multichannel scaling.
