This tutorial shows how to create your personal wiki page. You can find some examples here: User:Jan.Meiser - User:Harald.Vogt - User:Marcel.Gueltig

Step 1: Create your page

• Rightclick here and click Open link in new tab. It will open up a new site with your personal site in german and dummy text. You can write the content of your personal page in English or German. If you choose German please consider making an English version as well (for instructions see below).

Step 2: Filling informations

In the text you can now fill in all necessary information.

To format text (bold, italic, title, ...) mark the word and click on the symbol above the text field. You can find several other hints on how to format your text on the Wiki-Syntax page.

• How to insert a picture
• Link to persons. Copy & Paste the following line and replace First Name and Family Name.

[[user:FirstName.LastName|LastName, FirstName]]

• Categories. Copy & Paste the following lines only at the end of your article. Several categories are possible. There exists an overview of existing categories.

[[Category:Mitarbeiter - Employees]]
[[Category:FuE1]]
[[Category:Doktoranden - PhD Students]]
...

Step 3: Save your page

Click on Save page

Optional: Create English Page

• Rightclick here and click Open link in new tab. It will open up a new site with your personal site in english and dummy text.
• Repeat step 2 in English. Please do not apply any categories to the second version of your page (otherwise both German an English version will appear in lists and search results)!
• Make sure this text is at the top of the page (replace with your name):

[[FistName.LastName/English | English version]]
