  • Save documents made using the IMT template menu (Reports, protocols etc.)
  • Administrators regularly transfer documents placed here to the archive

  • ARCHIV: freely available reports, notes and programmes from IMT, sorted according to year and subject
  • ARCHIV2: classified reports, only visible to institute heads

K - drive

Only accessible from IMT, not via VPN.

• Transfer.Neu
  • Transfer drive to share large files within the institute. NO place for file storage!
  • <200 MB per person
  • Every employee (students included) can create a folder with his/her last name
  • Every emplo0yee has full access to all the data, including writing/deleting!
  • Data older than 1 month can be deleted without notice in case of storage room shortage
• IMT software collection

P - drive

Accessible from outside IMT via VPN.

• Personal drive for every employee, not accessible for others (not even for institute admin)
• Maximum capacity 10 GB

U - drive

Adress: \\sccfs-oe-cn.scc.kit.edu\imt\home\NAME

Accessible from outside IMT via VPN.

• Personal drive for every employee, not accessible for others except for institute admin
• Maximum capacity 10 GB
• Only for important data you are currently working on as backup, not to be used as archive
• Backed up every night by scc
  • Two versions of every file are kept
  • Second version is deleted after 60 days (same goes for deleted data)
• Files to be archived should go on local external drive
