Each user is self-responsible for the backup of the files on the local disk(s). C-, D-, and E-drive are local disks / partitions. All files on these disks are not backuped automatically and can get lost by a harddisk-crash. There is the possiblity to backup all files in the directory tree "My documents" by a command procedure during shutdown. If you want to use this procedure "Backup with shutdown" then please contact Systemadministrator.
Very important files should be saved on the SCC network share U: (see post Laufwerke - Drives). J:\transfer is not useful for backup purposes because old files will be deleted automatically after some time without any warning.
If you want to archive a large quantity of data files then you may get an external USB drive if necessary.
