Tobias Schröter studied mechanical engineering at the TU Ilmenau and received his master’s degree in 2010. In his thesis he developed a Light Sheet Fluorescence Microscope to investigate the three dimensional structure of organs like the cochlea or the brain. |
|||
After he was working as a developer at Carl Zeiss Microscopy in Jena for three years, he decided to start a Ph.D. thesis at the IMT. Now he aims to bring the grating based X-ray Phase-Contrast Imaging to clinical applications like mammography, or lung disease diagnostic. |

Besides his work he spends time on mountain biking and other outdoor activities. |

Deputy from
Michael Oldenburg studied physics at the KIT and received his master's degree in 2013. In his thesis he developed a general theory on electron dynamics in one-dimensional strongly correlated systems by using the kinetic and hydrodynamic approach.
After he went to Singapore for an internship by Robert Bosch (SEA) Pte Ltd in the R&D, he decided to start a Ph.D. thesis at the IMT. Main topic is the application of surfache-anchored metal-organic frameworks for third generation photovoltaics.
Besides his work he spends time on doing non-work related stuff.

- Neue Doggies begrüßen.
- Fotos fertiger Doggies in der Hall of Fame aufhängen.
- Einladen zu Doggieprüfungen.
- Mit Chefs sprechen, als Vertreter eines/mehrerer Doggies - Fragen und Probleme.
- Verwalten diverser Kassen (Doggie-Hut-Bastel-Kasse, KICKER-Kasse, Kaffeekasse, Getränkekasse...).
- Bei Problemen anderer Doggies zuhören :)
