Large format-prinouts in DIN A0 format can be printed with the Posterdrucker - Poster Printer of SCC Campus North.

General rules for printing

  1. In every printer room there is a tray with the label Papierablage. Please put printouts from other users in this tray.
  2. Misprints
    • one-sided: in the tray "Schmierpapier" (can be used as draft or scratch paper). Everyone who needs such paper can take it from the tray.
    • double-sided: in the waste basket
    • Please take care if you put printouts in one of the 2 trays on the table that the printouts don't show confidential data!
  3. After approx. 3 weeks all printouts in the tray 'Papierablage - independant of the printed data - will be put in the waste basket (double-sided) or in the tray with the draft paper.
  4. If the paper tray is empty then please refill it with a complete package of paper, and not only with a few pages
  5. Transparencies are allowed for printing only in consultation with K. Klein. Ordinary transperencies melt in laser printers and will make them unusable!
  6. Please respect the rules for Privatausdrucke - Private Printouts. Private printouts have to be paid.

Adding a Network Printer

Usually all printers are installed for you when the PC is configured for you. In J:\Public\IT\Printers you'll find some command procedures to install all the printers in one of our printer rooms automatically.

To add a special printer from the IMT network:

  1. Click Start Select Devices and Printers
  2. Click Add Printer.
  3. Select Add a network, wireless, or Bluetooth printer, then click Next.
  4. Select The printer that I want isn't listed, then click Next.
  5. Select Find a printer in the directory, based on location or feature", then click Next.
  6. In the Name box, enter IMT, then click Find now. You'll get a list of all the available network printers in IMT.
  7. Select the desired printer, then click OK. The driver will be downloaded and installed, and the printer will be connected.
  8. Click Next, if the new printer should not be the default printer then uncheck Set as the default printer, then click Finish.
