Graduiertenschule - Graduate school/English
A graduate school offers additional courses and education opportunities while pursuing an undergraduate or doctoral degree. Graduate schools often offer fellowships as well, but you can also join as a non-fellow. Here is a list of graduate schools in which IMT doctoral students are/were members.

KSOP - Karlsruhe School of Optics and Photonics
The KSOP offers a Master and a PhD program. The main focus is on the areas of:
- Photonic Materials & Devices
- Quantum Optics & Spectroscopy
- Biomedical Photonics
- Optical Systems
- Solar Energy
As a member of the school you have the possibility to participate in seminars with other PhD students, to attend different block lectures (technical modules and soft skills modules) or to participate in the MBA program. Every two years the KDOP (Karlsruhe Days of Optics and Photonics) and the KSOP Summer School take place alternately. KSOP also offers mentoring for PhDs, which means that every PhD student at KSOP has a personal mentor, who can support you with issues which cannot be addressed by your scientific advisor.

HEiKA Graduate School on Functional Materials
Graduate School “Functional Materials” im Rahmen des Exzellencluster 2082 „3D Matter Made to Order“. Similar to KSOP, HEiKA offer an interdisciplinary module program. In addition, the Graduate School Office organizes events like Welcome Days, Business Breakfasts and Journal Clubs at Lunch as well as other networking events. The school is a part of the Heidelberg Karlsruhe Strategic Partnership (HEiKA) between the KIT and Heidelberg University.
