Losnummer - Lot number/English
Definition
(Unofficially) translated from work instruction AA205.05:
Every production order is executed in “Lots” according to work instruction AA506.xx. The lot number is a consecutive number that is assigned to the produced entity. The lot number is a 5-digit-number that is incremented independent of the year. It is assigned by MF-FVB according to list LI405.xx. XXXXX_nn nn marks individual components if applicable. Every lot number has an underlying IFA (FB707.xx). Several lot numbers can be assigned to one IFA, if more than one routing sheet (Laufkarte) has to be used. The Lot number is assigned by MF-FVB and entered in the header of the corresponding routing sheet. The lot number provides direct access to production and test data. The list of lot numbers provides the link to the corresponding IFA/project number and the production date.
