Kerstin Länge received her diploma in chemistry from the University of Tübingen, Germany, in 1997. During her doctoral thesis she started working on biosensors with label-free detection and flow injection analysis systems. After receiving her doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) from the University of Tübingen in 2000, she joined the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe, which is now part of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany. Her research activities include surface modifications of biosensors and other bioanalytical devices as well as the development of bioanalytical systems for applications in (bio)medicine and food technology.
